All these friends are from Inner Mongolia Province and they took me to their native restaurant. Milk tea and so on are all very fine with me.

at Campus of Tsinghua University, the best in Engineering in China.
Dr. Jing took me to Tsinghua University he graduated. After the meeting on collaboration, I visited here to give a talk at Department of Astronomy. I was surprised that the professor appointed is a guy who I met in National Taiwan University on February 3 in the office of Pauchy Hwang.

visiting National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) in the same district as IOP.
I visited here to talk with many science officers. I had three meeting including discussion with Director of Asia Core Program for promotion of laboratory plasma astrophysics among Asia-Pacific. Feilu came with me as translator. She is almost professional as translator of complicated science policy making process.

I had a time to talk on Asia CORE Program with Prof. ZHANG Yinglan, Director of Division, Bureau of International Cooperation (right). ZHAO Gang, Deputy Director, National Astronomical Observatory, China (right) joined me to talk with her on the CORE Program. She is a science officer of NSFC and got PhD of Mathematics at Univ. Michigan. Her English is of course perfect.

at Vietnam National University, Ho-Chi-Ming.

Faculties of Ho-Chi-Ming welcomed our visit and Prof. Onuki stands to introduce the delegations from Osaka University. The visit is for coordinating the 5th Handa-Forum to be held for September 27-29, Hanoi. I am in charge of Secretary General. 14 faculties from Graduate school of science, Osaka University visited here and Hanoi.

It is very nice five stars hotel, while the price is discounted down to 55 USD per night. This hotel is just it that we used for AAPPS council meeting and APPC banquet last October.

with Japanese I met in a restaurant in downtown of Hanoi.

The man stays in Hanoi over one and half years to study the agriculture economics of Vietnam and works for JETRO, an organization of Japan government. I was lucky so that I could get a lot of information from him on Vietnam. The lady is back parker wondering from Ho-Chi-Ming to here and finally to Bangkok. She was his colleague in JETRO. I could enjoy the dinner with them.

at the front of Restaurant, Nam-Fu, with two ladies from the headquarters of Osaka University.

Prime minister, Koizumi, took dinner at this restaurant when he visited here last October. The tree of orange is very typical in Vietnam for celebrating New Years ( Feb. 9 was it this year). This is like Kado-matsu in Japan and usually two trees are at a gate.

I could not have a time to cut my hair in Japan because of busy schedule in the last couple of months. When I walked at a road near the place where many ambassador buildings you find, I was called and decided to get service. She was very nice skill and the total cost of cut and shampoo and razor was three USD. She did a nice job.

Delegations from Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Thai, Phillipinne, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mongolia, and Hong Kong. In this Council meeting, Join of Mongolia as a new member is approved. Now the 18 Physical Societies from 15 countries are members of AAPPS.

We had four panels on Tomorrow of Physics, Physics Education, Women in Physics, and Role of AAPPS. I gave a talk about the role of AAPPS.

Prof. Esaki was invited to give a plenary talk in Taiwan Physical Society held for February 1 ? 3 at National Sun Yat-Sen University at KaoShiung. His talk was very attractive with a lot of materials on his personal history and motto.
