Aki visited Headquarters of Chinese Physical Society.
From left, Secretary of CPS, Aki, Prof. Nie (AAPPS councilor, CPS), and Prof. Jie Zhang. I was named to be a councilor of Japan Physical Society (JPS) from September for two years term and asked to take care of foreign affairs. I asked Jie to arrange to meet a councilor of CPS who is responsible to foreign affairs. What I was surprised is that the HQ of CPS is located on the 9th floor in the same building we used for the Japan-China Seminar.

Five Weeks Stay in US at San-Diego and Rochester

Mike Campbell invited me to stay in GA for 3 weeks. Average temperature at San-Diego is about 25 degree and very comfortable, but the Sun shine is very strong. San-Diego is cooled by Alaska cold stream flowing the beach. So, the water of the sea is very cold, but we can find many colorful fishes.

He is a famous astrophysicist doing large scale computing. He recently moved to Univ. of Cal. San-Diego with a good offer. I visited him in his office.

What I was surprised was that the priest of the Temple is Jewish, who found himself at a temple in Japan after the hell in Vietnam war.

During the Sakharov International Conference of Physics, 2002 in Moscow. Prof. Gintzburg was 86 years old then.
